Last February 20, 2011, I was invited to watch a dance recital at the Cultural Center, University of San Carlos Girls High organized by the Spotlight Dance, Co.

I thought it was just an ordinary mambo jumbo recital, but I was fascinated and astonished by the performances that I saw. It was just brilliant! They performed different kinds of dances like jazz, ballet, hip hop, breakdance and poi (fire dance) with guest performers: HOTARU Fire Dancers, SNAPBOIZ (contestant of Pinoy Got Talent), and GOD of STYLES Bboying Crew.

Spotlight's Creative Director is Ms. Ellen Marie Chua Tan, an artist with almost 22 years of experience in dance and 8 years in teaching.

Spotlight Dance Co. is a dance school, a professional training ground of the country's most promising young talents in dance that, with the help of BASELINE Restaurant and Recreation Center, started last summer, 19th of April 2010.

With a unique curriculum that encompasses various dance styles and techniques, the systematized method and approach to instruction takes highly into account student's anatomy at various ages and levels so that the training is first and foremost physically safe, technically effective and artistically interesting for them.

We use the Royal Academy of Dance and Australian Conservatiore of Ballet syllabus for ballet while the teacher (s) of Jazz, Contemporary Dance, Tap, Hip Hop, Breakdance, Ballroom, POI/Firedance classes employ the basic technique available to provide students with exceptional foundation and performance skills.

Regular courses in dance (Classic Ballet, Contemporary Dance, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Breakdance, Ballroom, POI/Fire Dance for all levels) including performance and workshops are offered from July to March. From April to May, the school conducts a summer (6-week intensive) technique training culminating in a dance showcase.

Ice Skating Ring Experience at MOA

We left Clark Pampanga (Hot Air Balloon Festival 2011 Escapade) for Manila since our trip going back to Cebu is Manila-Cebu. I went to visit a good friend who used to be a great photographer. We spent the whole morning relaxing. We ate our breakfast in a buffet, we also had our sauna and ended it with a great full body massage. Thanks for the time. I'll see you again March kuya LJ.

It was after lunch when I was able to meet another good friend, Chris (a.k.a. my driver). He was the one who first gave me a tour in my first Manila escapade and when he found out that I will be visiting Manila again, he, with no hesitations, offered his service by driving me to MOA, but before going to MOA, we needed to go to a detour because he was not able to take breakfast and lunch...so we ended up eating somewhere near ABS-CBN and was able to talk about life in general. Thanks Chris!

After the talk, we hastily went to MOA to meet another friend, Pao; unfortunately, he couldn't join me because he have important matters to attend too.

Pao was obliged to guide me inside MOA. Hahaha!

Ice Skating Experience at MOA

I was excited to see the skating ring. I felt I was beeing called by the ice...whispering...calling... I hastily went in the ring and found myself gliding on the ice so elegant and flawless. Though there were times that I loose focus maybe because I never had the proper training and all. I wish there will be a skating ring in Cebu which I've heard there will be soon in the South SRP Area. I will definitely get some lesson.

It was one of the most memorable experience!

I wrote it on my previous entry that I will be going to Clark, Pampanga for the Hot Air Balloon Festival. Check entry here...and yes, I finally conquered Pampanga!!!

Last February 11, we took off from Cebu for Clark and first step foot in Pampanga at around 7:00 pm. We stayed at Marco's place where his grandparents welcome us with sumptuous food. I never experienced hunger in that house even for a second. Thank you for the warm welcome!

We tried to sleep early for tomorrow's big day.

Hot Air Balloon Festival 2011 Escapade

Thank God, I always have the instinct of waking up early once I know that I have an event that I needed to attend too, especially that it will be my first time. I woke up around 4:30 am and prepared myself for the great day ahead us.

We were just in time where balloons are being inflated and here are some of the photos:

There were also aircraft and sky diving exhibitions which I totally enjoyed.

In addition, we also tried flying a kite which was pretty hard, but we did it. Our kite flew and soar high!

It was a worthwhile experience and I'm hoping to experience it again on 2012. I will soon post the details of my Angeles-Manila Trip.

Last Friday, February 18, 2011, I was invited to experience a post valentines dinner date at The Persimmon. I brought a friend with me since I still don't have someone significant. Despite my status, it didn't stop me from enjoying the event.

It was the perfect place for such occasion. The place was just perfect and full of serenity and honesty. The tables were intentionally made for two people and the food was just perfect...mouth watering indeed!

In addition, there band was absolutely awesome! Great event! More power to the organizers and to everyone who helped the event. Cheers!

Integrated Bar of the Philippines 13th National Convention

IBP holds 13th National Convention of Lawyers

The Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) will hold its 13th National Convention of Lawyers on Aprl 7-9 at the Subic Bay Exhibition and Convention Center. This was announced by IBP Executive Vice President and President-elect Roan Libarios.

The theme for this year’s event is “Living Up to the Standards of Integrity and Competence in the Legal Profession.” Some 4,000 lawyers from the IBP’s 85 chapters nationwide are expected to attend the biennial event.

Invited to keynote the convention is President Noynoy Aquino. Supreme Court Chief Justice Renato Corona, meanwhile, is guest of honor in the National Bench and Bar Dialogue.

A major part of the convention proceedings are lectures on various current legal issues by a panel of experts. In line with the convention theme, the topics lined up include prosecution of human rights cases, law practice management and improving performance in the delivery of justice.

The lectures form part of the IBP’s Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) program and earns participants MCLE credits.

Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa has issued a circular that allows heads of government agencies, departments, bureaus and offices to authorize their lawyers to attend the convention on official time. A similar circular was issued by Supreme Court spokesperson and Court Administrator Jose Midas Marquez in regard to judges, clerks of court and court lawyers.

The IBP is the official organization of all Philippine lawyers whose names appear in the Roll of Attorneys of the Supreme Court. It has about 50,000 members to date. Membership in the IBP is a requisite to practicing law in the Philippines.

The IBP is encouraging its members to book accommodations early in anticipation of high tourist traffic at Subic Bay Freeport during the summer season.

We have grown from individual to friends to organization to family and to highly unexpected achievements!

Cebu Bloggers Society's 3rd Year Anniversary

I still remember myself salivating and wanting to join the well known blogging community in Cebu, Cebu Bloggers Society, Inc., which is one of the most organized and stable blogging community in the Philippines. Then, I was given an opportunity to be part of the said organization with a bang! Yes, a BIG bang because the society went for a tour to Sumilon Island (A Day with Sumilon Island). It was the most memorable experience ever with the group even if I wasn't officially part of the society. I got the official letter few weeks after the said event and until now, I am still overwhelmed that I am part of this Society.

I can't believe that in my almost 2 years of being with the group, I have been to so many events and places that I never imagined I would be. Overwhelming indeed that even the people and the Government itself made importance of bloggers in the society and how we can change the World in our own ways. However, there were some criticism against us...that we overuse the opportunity that we get from blogging. Yes, I believe that that situation is inevitable; however, it's just the same with other people who overuse their power is bad.

Everything that gets overused is not healthy!

In the long run, it will end up with you as an individual making your own brand. Would you promote yourself as a good citizen or will you overuse your power and eventually ruin your self worth and your family's life?

For those bloggers who got hit by this statement, try to think about it.

For those who wants to ruin bloggers in general, try harder baby because the Blogging Community is going to stay here for a loooooooooooooooooooooooong time! :p

This day finally came...and my last entry for Valentines has come to an end. I will sure miss writing this kind of entries.

Anyways, we had our early dinner together at the Spaghetti Factory...I enjoyed every second of it. We had some few good talks and most of them were hilariously rubbish. Just like the usual talks we had, we end up having a smile on our faces.

I think I have said everything that I wanted to say starting from the 1st of February and I guess I have proven myself sincere and honest with all my action and emotion. I guess it's all up to you now to realize my worth.

I will always be here...no matter what happens. Take care My Highness.

I really appreciate your message. They say, the bravest thing a person could do is accepting his/her fault. I commend you...and I want to tell you this, If there are things that I did wrong or made you feel miserable, I am deeply sorry. I don't want to loose you that's why I am doing my best...and if I have to do this over and over again, I WILL.

I went home right after work feeling worried and bothered...because it was unusual for me not to receive any message from you. I am aware of our situation that we didn't have any official commitments, but we started out as friends and we kept communicating ever since. So there is definitely no point for you not to communicate with me.

Pushing away, that's what I felt. I couldn't stand it. I needed to do something. I went to the place where we used to play fire and there we met.

Nokia, the world’s no. 1 mobile phone brand, recently had the Nokia Music Connection elimination round with four head banging performances at Casa Nami. Music Connection is a joint Nokia, Star Records and Myx competition that gives aspiring recording artists the chance to enter the mainstream music industry. Present during the event were judges: General Manager of Nokia Philippines, Benoit Nalin; Star Records’ Album Producer, Jonathan Manalo; Star Records’ Managing Director, Annabel Regalado-Borja; and guest judge, Myx VJ Robin Nievera.

February has always been the most fragile yet the most passionate month of the year. February is the love month...smiles...stares...kisses...

People are most often hype and excited on the 14th of February, Valentines Day, where people show affection to their love ones. Even those who are at single-hood...still hoping that one day they will find their match.

Because of this, I will be making a daily blog entry starting today until the 14th of February on the things I did, I saw and my thoughts for the day.

1st of February

Cold...cold...warm! It's a cold day and the breeze gives you a sudden chill...a tingling feeling in the brain...climax. Warmth, its the best word that reminds me of you.  I can't wait for the next time to have your warmth next to mine.

I woke up early in the morning, took a bath and got ready for work.I took my vitamins and drove for work...walked a couple of step and felt the minute rain drops on my face. I sent a message saying, I'm at work and went inside the office. Cold...cold...cold...my cellphone rang and got a message saying, take care and enjoy work...warmth.
