Is it just fast or what!??

WOAH!!! Wednesday already!!!? But I haven't prepared myself for Sumilon yet...sigh.

Before I write my article, I want to congratulate my good friend, Elaine Bacalzo, for passing the NLE 2009!

Ok, this has been really weird for me lately...and it's like bothering my mind even if it's really the fact or most likely the fact.

Why is there 24 hours in a day?

Am I weird or the weirdest??? But seriously, why??? I need more hours in a day...

A blast from last night

After taking sleep for the whole yesterday morning, I knew I was ready to go out and have some fun even if my fever was not yet okay...

I went to the laundry with almost 10 kilos of used clothes...ughhhh! Damn heavy! After, I went to SM to watch Harry Potter with my sis and her friend, Dona...and went to Handuraw near UP. After unbuttoning our pants, we went for a relaxing body massage. It was a great weekend treat.

Welcome New Nurses!!!

CONGRATULATIONS to our new nurses!!! I just hope you get employed after this :P

I mean, honestly...I really am hoping for your career, especially to my friends:

Jared Tyrone Solante Lape
Khristine Vergara
Michelle Ungria
Cyre Buen Absuelo
Manet Ganzales (forgot her real name)

check result here.

This has been a very long awaited list for these guys...and I think everyone of them deserves to be on the list. Thinking of all the sacrifices they did for their course (sleepless nights, and neglecting night life...sigh...sometimes, I pity them...LOL!) Oh I know how hard this is...really hard! I also noticed these experiences from my brother. Yes, my brother is an R.N. (a Cum Laude Graduate) and boy he sacrificed alot of things BIG TIME!

Well, that's it...sore high NURSES!!!

FinLust meets CBS

This was the Digital Filipino Club 2009 at PAGCOR and the very first event I have been not just for bloggers, but for business enthusiasts too!

I was most of the time silent during the event...but I did enjoy it...especially the food :)

The event was totally dominated by the Cebu Bloggers Society and that was the time I got to know more about them and the club. In addition, I also met/knew big personnel in the BLOG WORLD and prestigious events that is a MUST attend.

Here are some pictures of the said event:

Just so you know...

Whilst the senate is busy scrutinizing the sex video of Hayden Kho and Katrina Halili…

Whilst Gov. Garcia and Mayor Tomas OsmeƱa are busy battling over politics…

Whilst we are all busy…

The Mactan-Olanggo River is silently protesting.

The voice may not be loud enough but they are heard.

Check this site: www.mactanchannelproject.com

We pass the old and new bridge quite unaware of the actual situation of the degrading ecosystem. It would be an added burden for our piles of worry, we think. Our taxes are enough contribution for the maintenance...it should work for us, we say. What we don’t know, the Mactan-Olanggo channel is dying. Forget about the reefs and its sense of being a river. Garbage had replaced the reefs and fishes. And we might see it dead few years from now.

Glad to know though, that there are some who are not unaware.

I’m not asking you to worry or feel bad about it. I just want you to know.

Fever...

It was yesterday's shift that I realized that I am having fever. I thought it was just because of the air conditioner, but when I arrived in my apartment, I just had this sudden headache. It would release pain every time I move my head...tsk...tsk...tsk! In addition, I also have cough... BEAT THAT! LOL!

Anyways, I just want to say God is so Good! I was about to go to Sumilon Island this Saturday (July 25) with other bloggers until I found out that it was postponed to August 1. Thank you Lord because if it wasn't postopned, I would probably not be able to go because of my fever. AMAZING!

Well, that's it...I can't wait for August 1. See you there! Nyahaha!

A Prayer To Our Former President, Cory Aquino

It was last Sunday that I was able to watched T.V. and I saw this episode of THE BUZZ where Kris Aquino revealed the current condition of our former President, Cory Aquino. I'm not really a fan of Kris or something like that, but I felt the burden inside her when she was talking about it. Maybe because I am also really close to my mom.

Since I couldn't find a copy of what I saw on YouTube, I would want to share this video instead:

...and undoubtedly, every person who has a mom now is praying now for you Mrs. Cory Aquino...

What Is In The Air???

L-O-V-E is more than just a butterfly feeling or the presence of birds every time our loved ones are near. It’s more than just looking into the eyes of our beloved and be swept over feet in love. L-O-V-E is feeling our beloved’s pain, anxiety and going with them in their battles. We pray for them when they are down. We cry with them in their sorrow. We rejoice in their victory. And we stay even if it means letting go. For in the end, what matters most is not what we receive but what we give. L-O-V-E not because your beloved can L-O-V-E you back. L-O-V-E because your beloved needs L-O-V-E.

70 Times 7 Times for Maribago Bluewater Beach Resort

(The title is taken from MATTHEW 18:22)

70 times 7 - means infinity and never ending of progress

...and I would like to dedicate this saying to Maribago Bluewater Beach Resort for reaching their 20 successful years of giving outstanding and amazing services and depicting cleanliness and environmental friendliness in our country!

I've been traveling back and forth from Dumaguete (where our family lives) to Cebu since I was in College via land trip at Liloan, and I always get the chance to see the Island from afar. Ever since that, I've always wanted to go to the said Island!

I've heard that it's the Marine Laboratory of Silliman University (my former school) who hosted and helped the Island handle the Marine Sanctuary and is now now cited as the best locale of preserving coral reef and enhances reef fisheries management.

In addition to this, because of their 20 years of SUCCESS, let's have a peak on the Island and what stuffs do they have, click here.

For reservations and info, visit Maribago Bluewater Beach Resort, and Sumilon Bluewater Island Resort

Last Work for the Week

Tonight will be my last shift for the week and I'm off to Dumaguete!

I have lots of things that I need to do in Dumaguete like for example getting a copy of my Birth Certificate, and finally organize my planned online business with my good friend, Syarief who was a blogger and a pluker too (so sad that he was not able to maintain his blog due to connection/PC failure which led him to disliking blogging and most social networking).

These are the following that I'll be doing in Dumaguete:
  • visit my family
  • visit KP and her family
  • get our PORTAL Yearbook
  • meet barkada and friends
  • meeting with Syarief and hopefully Veronica for my planned business
  • and promote the theme:
WORK HARD, PARTY HARDER!!!

However, somehow at the back of my mind, even though I have just stayed here in Cebu for just 2 months, I am having this liking for the place unlike before... Maybe because I met new friends here...like Beejing, Mark, Van, Kevin from CBS and alot more (even if most of then I just met once). These are the special mentioned friends since they were the one who entertained me most! Thanks guys! Appreciated it!

Well, that's it for now...I'll take a short nap before going to work. Have a great weekend everyone! peace out!

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Now Showing!

YEAH! Finally, the most awaited movie...J.K. Rowling's 6th book, HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE is now showing on your favorite movie houses! I'm about to go to S.M. to watch the movie!

Even though I have read the books and even though it disappointments me that the book is so different from the previous movies, I am still thrilled of the new things that I will be discovering from the movie, just like I was amazed with the previous movies of Harry Potter...and especially that I have heard that there will be a flip of love between Ginny and Harry, which can't be found on the book! Now this is the interesting part. Woooh! I just can't wait!

I assure you of it's amazing battles and special effects! An instant 4 THUMBS UP!!! *including my toes* :D

Thank You!

Just woke up with a smile on my face...Thank you Lord!

Everything went very fine...Dad's operation was a success; my sister's fever is gone, as well as mine; and mama said she's more than okay!

All we need to do is pay the hospital...though it's quite expensive, there is nothing compared to a healthy dad and a healthy family!

BTW, I just want to say THANK YOU to everyone who spared a little time to pray for my family's condition...A collection of voices (your voices) indeed was heard! Again, THANK YOU!

I'll be going to work soon...need to save money for the bills. Wahehehe! peace out!

Self Declared Holiday...

I was not able to go to work last shift because I had a sudden fever and chills. Maybe because of all the thinking I've been doing at work plus family concern...

However, I'm okay now (for now) right after I received a message from mama that dad's okay after the operation. Thank God!

I'll be bringing med at work just in case my fever gets back...

BTW, I am so gonna die at work tonight :(

Tuesday, July 14, 2009

Sister's fine...

I just woke up...I couldn't sleep well thinking of my family's health too much. Until I found my sister dressing up for work. I'm glad she's fine now. I was relived...TOTALLY! I bought her some med just in case the fever gets back...

For now, I'm still waiting for my mom's call for updates...

BTW, I'll be going back to Dumaguete this weekend to check if mama, papa, and bro is fine...

I'll also grab this opportunity to visit the only person, that gives me inspiration to love everything I do, and her family. I miss you!

Faith...

Yesterday before going to work, my mom called and told me that my dad is in the hospital because there is a hump in his neck and it’s getting bigger and bigger as time passes by. I wasn’t able to sleep well after that, especially that my sister is also having fever. A friend (Nursing Student) of mine told me, if it’s just fever without chills, you can give her a sponge bath to lessen the heat temperature in her body. And so I gave it to her. I just hope she gets well soon.

I just had a confirmation that my dad will be given an operation today from mom. I hope nothing will go wrong.

Guys, please pray for my family’s health...and do include your loved ones as well...

I guess this is gonna be a tough week for me...but it won't stop me from making everyday to its fullest...

I miss you my boo-boo! See you next week!

I wanna go home...

I'm so worried for my mom right now...and I'm really, really depressed right now :'(

My dad has something going on with his neck...something growing really big. At first, the doctor said it was nothing and just take medications, but now it's really unusual. Mama sent me a message that she will confine papa.

Another thing is about my bro and sis, all of a sudden, they had a sudden fever...I just hope it's the usual fever we used to have...sigh!

I know God has a plan...I just hope it does not end into the situation where all people will be wearing black clothes :(

I have faith...and this is all I have right now :(

*I entrust everything to you o Lord*

Black Eyed Peas' Party All The Time - PLAGIARISM

Try to listen to this:

I am one of their fans, but this is a major no-no! Come on guys, have respect to yourself! You can just ask permission or something...simple as that!

I feel bad for Freeland...

However, I still listen to the music though...Party All The Time still sounds nice...

Up Early...

I've been addicted to 'Good Times with Mo' - Killer Bee 89.9 (Mondays to Thursdays, 6:00AM to 9:00AM). You can listen to this via satellite feed on 92.3 (Cebu).

I just love this program... They're freakin' AMAZING! They just talk about shit and all but can't (somehow) speak shit! Weird? YES! Nyahaha!

Anyways, I just went to the market to buy some calamansi. My sister is sick...cough-cough sick!

I hope she gets better soon...

BTW, it's the start of my shift (again) tonight...sigh! I can't wait for the next weekend... I hope I can go back home to Dumaguete...

FinLust's Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs

I read Ms. Janettes entry about Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs for 2009 Writing Project and I said to myself, this will be a great opportunity for me to know more about blogging and lots of stuff. I did not waste my time in looking for these Emerging Influential Blogs...

Finally, after hours of searching qualified and worthy blogs, I have finally chosen my TOP 10.

I honestly do not have much friends in the BLOG WORLD, but I did try my best to look for blogs that will fit for this title.

So, here it goes:

Ang Blog ng mga Tunay na Lalake
  • I've been hopping around into this blog for quite sometime now and it always leaves a BIG smile on my face. Ridiculous and short, yet worth laughing for.
Patay Gutom
  • An inspiring blog for the PIGS (like me). Once in my life I planned to make blog like this; however, I do not have the financial capacity to support my eating desires...LOL! I will just savor the delicious foods in this blog (drool).
Batang Lakwatsero
  • Batang Yagit now travels! one of the first few people I met in the BLOG WORLD. I commend the owner of this blog for his unending passion for blogging and tries to alleviate it's genres: personal blogging, photo blogging, techy blogging, and SEO tutrial blogging. I wonder what's next?
Cebu Bloggers Society
  • I've heard about CBS when I was still in College and ever since I've always wanted to be part of a club like this because, I know, I have alot of things to learn about blogging and until now. I also planned to create this kind of group in our city, Dumaguete, but it didn't happen due to so many factors.
Focal Glass
  • Van, a stunning blogger and a talented phtographer. We first met at plurk, I think, and have been good friends in the BLOG WORLD, i guess, even if I just met him yesterday...nyahaha! Photography was once a talent I used to keep; however, because of our family's financial struggle, I had to leave my career as an amateur photographer. Yes, amateur...I did won the Photojournalism category for our weekly News Paper way back in High School.
Movie Bloggified
  • Charles has been a friend of mine for quite sometime now and is a good friend of Van. This kid undoubtably poses a good taste for movies! Thumbs up!
The Extra Ordinary Kiddo
  • A personal blog by Bryan Karl that gives me alot of knowledge about current events. I'm just new to his blog, but this blog used most of my time because I read even the older posts of this blog...and it never seems to let me stop reading it...at all!
My Random Thoughts
  • One thing I've noticed in this blog is that it gives me the emotion of missing my family and tries to let the reader (me) reminisce the usual things we used to do before. Aside from Allahn's personal life, he definitely value family!
RABPhotography
  • I chose this blog because the pictures are great! PICTURES,PICTURES, and more PICTURES simply amazes me.
ifancy.Me
  • Just look at BLOG STAT and you can say that this blog will progress in no time :)

I would like to thank the following sponsors: Absolute Traders, My Brute Cheats, Business Summaries, Fitness Advantage Club, Events and Corporate Video, Events at Work, Dominguez Marketing Communications, Red Mobile, Budget hotel in Makati, Lucio C. Tan Group of Companies, and Blog4Reviews.com.

Morning the night...

Woooh! It was one hell of a night indeed!

For the first time, I met most of the Cebu Bloggers...and my assumption that most of them are classy, high-standard, socializing people is indubitably false...somehow...

Though there are people in the group who's quite hard to befriend, there are also good people who entertained me all the way...Thanks!

And here I am again...stuck in my apartment...bummed...so I had nothing to do but browse pictures and found this...nyahaha!

DAY OFF!!!

Woooh! It has been PARANOIA in the office!

I just had a conflict with my boss...but I think it's okay now...i guess...

Anyways, I'm kinda in a hurry today...because today is the day that I'll be meeting the CEBU BLOGGERS SOCIETY...and still having doubts if I will go or not...wahehehe!

Well, I still need to have my hair cut...it's really messy lately...GTG! peace out!

BTW, HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE!

2 Wroking Days Left...

YES! 2 working days left and DAY OFF here I go...

Aside from that, I can't wait to meet all the CEBU BLOGGER SOCIETY this Saturday, yet still hesitant...

Apart of me is excited because I will meet lots of new friends that can definitely help me at BLOG WORLD...because even though I've been here for a year and how many months now, I still have LOTS of things to learn and discover...TOTALLY!

However, half of it is very intimidated...simply because when I look at them, I can see class, high standard, big time, professional people. That is how I look at them...

Even if I possess an overconfident personality (according to friends), I think I can't use that personality to them... Besides, I have that personality because they're my friends...

Anyways, let's change topic...I'll be going back to Dumaguete on the 18th for the capping (Nursing thing) of one of my best friends, Carolee. Keep up the GOOD WORK!

In addition to this, I'll also be visiting my family there, friends, my barkada, and the love of my life :)

I just hope I'll have enough money left during that time...Well, I gotta go now...almost time for work...peace out!

Another Day...

Sigh...4 hours of sleep...fair enough. Washed clothes (no more budget for laundry)! Wahehehe!

Anyways, I got bored at the apartment so I went to a Cafe hoping for friends to be online; however, everyone seems to be busy...except for one: Charles!

'Thanks for the great conversation about movies and stuff... It was nice knowing you! peace out!'

BTW, check out Charles, blog. This kid indeed has the taste when it comes to GREAT movies!

Well, I better get back now...and get ready for work... Have a GREAT day everyone!

Connection...

As you all know, the WIFI connection we used to get is not giving us connection anymore... I don't know why...the connection is there, but we can't access...they might have done something to the router...I'm really not sure...

Anyways, I went to SMART yesterday to avail for an Internet connection; however, the line is too LONG...and I needed to go somewhere else...

Sigh...I slept for almost 10 hours today...wahehehe!

Well, I'll better get ready for work now...peace out!

Think...Think...Think...

Woooh! I just got home from a soccer game...and I'm about to go to work within an hour...but of course, I need to BLOG first :)

BTW, I went to the NIGHT MARKET last week end and I want to share my newly bought SHOES!

cOoL!

...and it just cost Php. 600. This shoe would probably cost me Php. 4,000 + at Malls.

This is also the reason why I thought of a business about selling items...YEAH! I'm so excited...I hope this falls into place...I'm really hoping...

Anyways, I got to go now...work is almost coming...peace out!

Psyched Up!!!

Okay! Now, I'm really psyched up in making my business into REALITY!!!

I just hope it won't be thrown to waste... For now, I keep this into silence...trying to make it slowly yet surely.

Anyways, I'll be having a badminton practice with my sis and some workmates at 2pm...really need to get serious with exercise and diet! I also need to be strict with my gym schedule and need to follow my trainer from now on :P

For tomorrow, I'll be having a soccer practice with workmates and I think we will be having a sporty game with other teams. Well, I better get ready for that one. I think I also need to take some supplements for the improvement of my health.

Mixed Up

Today will be my last shift for the day...and I am having mixed emotions.

CONTENTMENT:
Last shift was a perfect scenario of work I wanted! Lots of work, but not too much.

I am still overwhelmed of what God has given to my sister and I here in Cebu:

  • a great apartment to stay and very affordable;
  • responsible parents...No doubt;
  • healthy body;
  • good paying job;
  • talents; and
  • our knowledge.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!

JEOLOUSY:
A member of our Cheer Leading Team send a message earlier that she with her family will migrate in San Fransisco. A dream of going abroad has been a desire since a child.

It was just yesterday that I knew that my batch mate is already working in a prestigious company in Manila, IBM. One of the dreams I had after graduation...sigh.

EXCITEMENT:
I've been always active in the BLOG WORLD and it will be a great honor for me to finally meet, hopefully, all the CEBU BLOGGERS SOCIETY at Waterfront Hotel on the 11th of July. However, with all the priorities I'm dealing right now, I'm not sure If I can be active with their activities, especially that I have noticed that most of them belongs to a higher class family.

LONELY:
Simply because I am missing my hometown...and to the special person that keeps my heart on its fast pace.

The only question that is drowning my mind is that: Will I survive here in Cebu?

What do you think?

My phone can access INTERNET!

WAAAAH!!!

I’m so HAPPY!!! Aside from her wearing the necklace I bought for her birthday, I can access Internet through my PHONE! YEAH!!!

I was experimenting and researching how to access Internet through my phone…and all these times, it was right in front of me for more than 3 months now: INTERNET SERVICES! I never tried opening it until now…

Anyways, my CP is an Access NetFront Web Browser carrier, which is, I think, the fastest web browser for nanotechnology.

NetFront™ Browser is the most advanced, versatile and powerful full Internet browser for beyond-PC devices. Specifically designed and optimized to deliver high performance in resource-constrained environments, NetFront Browser supports almost any OS and CPU, and offers low power consumption, easy customization, and a broad range of plug-ins.
These reasons and more are why the NetFront Browser is the most popular choice for manufacturers and operators. In fact, NetFront™ products, including the NetFront Browser as an embedded Internet browser, have shipped in over 600 million devices (as of August 31, 2008) throughout the world, including mobile phones, digital TVs, set-top boxes, mobile handhelds, game consoles, automobile navigation systems and many other types of products. Budgeting...

I have been always keen when it comes to spending money…but now, I need to be keener!

I used to live in a City where you can find Turo-Turo Store that will greatly satisfy your hunger with a budget of 20-30 pesos. But now, it’s as if you’re obliged to go to classy restaurants, which will cost you much, because of the way your environment is living.

I deeply miss Dumaguete…

I miss those days where my high school friends and I used to eat at Kasadja bringing only 15 pesos for a cup of rice and a piece of pork chop with free soup :)

There are also what we call Manggahan and Kabayuan (the same owner I think) that serves delicious paklay. Also, one of the highlights here is the exotic food that they cater: UTOK (UTAK or BRAIN)! Yummy!!!

Habhaban is also a popular place to go, especially after social night out and cheering practices. You might want to try Soup # 5 here.

If you want to eat exotic street foods, Barbequehan sa ACSAT and The Bridge are the best places for you. Barbeque, isaw (IUD), adidas, longganisa, hotdog, chorizo, and a lot more…and very cheap!

If you desire pizza, I introduce to you NEVA’S PIZZA, PASTA, ATBP. They are, so far, the best and the cheapest pizza place I’ve ever been in Dumaguete! Try it! You won’t regret!

These are the usual places I go to in Dumaguete (Food Escapades).

There are better restaurants in Dumaguete like Gabby’s Bistro, owned by kuya Gabby and Ma Mia’s Restaurant…but I prefer extraordinary food in a very casual (probably less casual) places.
