Maribago Bluewater Beach Resort at 21

Last July 21, 2010 was the 21st year of Maribago Bluewater Beach Resort's existence has been consistently a premier destination in Cebu.

I was able to come back and forth to this resort several times already and I definitely saw the improvement of Maribago Bluewater. Having World class facilities and hospitable employees has been a trademark for the said beach resort. Now that Maribago Bluewater Beach Resort is at 21, they have renovated and added some restaurants, including the new Molto Italiano and Cove which is, for me, the best live seafood restaurant in Cebu. They have also improved their Menu and won the Cebu Goes Culinary Competition in 2006. In addition to the beach resort’s innovation is their Amuma Spa which I have tried and am so glad to flaunt it. Amuma Spa offers a full-service spa featuring pampering Filipino therapies, including their signature treatment, Amuma Hilot. I can’t wait for the new changes and improvement that they will be doing.

21 Outstanding Years of Maribago Blue Water Beach Resort

It was such a lovely night where dinner was served and people were enjoying their food while moving their body to the beat of the music. Others went to the photo booth to have their faces taken. While I just sat humbly while enjoying the food and the wine that was served…and there was THE TOAST for the 21 years of existence of Maribago Bluewater Beach Resort!!! Before the program ended, they gave some prizes by raffling the names of the guests who attended that night and the prizes was unbelievably fascinating…too bad I didn’t won, but congratulations to the winners! Have many years to come Maribago Bluewaters! Cheers!

Love (Part 1)

I'm currently at CoffeeCat Cebu and I'm with my special friend, Dazed...and when I was about to start getting bum, she let me read one of the few nose-pounding writing she made just last night. So I want to share this article to you guys.

Dazed and Rabsin at CoffeeCat Cebu
To me love is not a conquest, much less one conquest after another. conquest denotes subjugation, a submission to a more powerful will. you do not make a person submit to your will and mold her as you see fit to make her more lovable in your eyes. you love her for what she is. you do not gloss over her imperfections, you learn to live with her flaws. you do not brag to your friends that she is yours for the taking, there's no place for braggadocio in love. you wait instead anxiously for the next time she tells you she loves you, no matter if it may never happen and in the meantime the uncertainty is making you mserable. you do not lead her on with empty displays of affection. you do not boost her confidence using false praises, only to give her the ultimate put-down by taking her for a fool. you find your self speechless with admiration and fear that the slightest touch will betray the depth of your emotion. you do not cry foul when you see that the course of love has not gone according to your fervent wishes. you do not bawl at her, "how dare you tell me you love me, take my heart, and disappear from my life." you do not demand the return of glorious days long past. you do not blame her for your shattered illusions and waylaid dreams and least of all your broken heart. even in the lowest throughs of self-pity and despair, you cannot bring yourself to cause her the slightest grief. you would rather die than give the slightest hint that she has anything to do with your unhappiness. love bears all - maybe not always with a smile that's big enough for the world to see, BUT JUST ONE THAT'S BRAVE ENOUGH TO TELL HER IT'S OKAY...

you'll live so she doesn't have to feel bad.

love and rejection get in the same way.

LOVE IS NOT FOR THE FAINT-HEARTED.

love means different things to different people, different things at different times.

like everything, love changes.

**quickmelt...

so when that person ceases to feel the same way, you can let it go...

Cebu's First War Fashion Show - Gears of War

Cebu's First War Fashion Show

It was last July 17, 2010 when I attended the ever first War Fashion Show in Cebu. The Concept of the event was to present the gears and other items used during war. It was at Robinland Bldg., Margarita’s Family Cuisine (at the back of Cebu Doctor's University).
Cebu's First War Fashion Show - Gears of War
It was a so-so kind of fashion show, but I admire the organizers purpose in making the said project. Cebu's First War Fashion Show was purposely done to help the children's schooling in Brgy. Magsaysay in Mt. Manunggal Balamban, of the CMA’s Akyat Aklat Program.

I enjoyed the buffet dinner and the photo sessions. I was also enjoying looking at the models and how they carry their weapons...and how they seem to make it more like a Counter Strike game!

Cebu Bloggers Society at Gears of War
They also gave all their guests a lovely mug as a souvenir.

The event was made possible by CIRAS PRODUCTION in cooperation with MOUNTAINEERING ALLIANCE.

The White Hat is now in Cebu SM Northwing

I just went to SM earlier to pay my electric bill when I saw The Photoblogger, Evanjohnn, in the same area. I sent him a message and he responded immediately. He invited me to grab and taste the newly opened Italian frozen yogurt stall in SM Northwing, The White Hat, is now open in Cebu!
They opened last Tuesday, July 20 and they are indeed making a noise to the people in Cebu. I had a little chit-chat with their well-valued employees and gave me some advices on their most ordered and favorite yogurts. I also learned from them that the stall is not a franchise, rather, a branch in Cebu!
The White Hat Stall
Before we ordered, we waited for another friend, Nowi, who was just in the area as well. While waiting, I was amazed by its branding. Its indubitably unique, unlike other yogurts stores that has similarities. The cup is bigger and has better design compared to other yogurt stores. The color and aura is cool and clean...a fresh bluish look! They also have these yummy combos which will make you salivate to death! The best part of their branding was the idea of the hat itself. It definitely got my attention!
The White Hat ToppingsThe Pinoy Hat
I tried their Pinoy Hat Combo and it was just perfectly delicious! They also have other combos available in Cebu that you can try:
  • Lover's Hat
  • Cobbler's Hat
  • Pinoy Hat
  • Wizard's Hat
  • Choco-loco Hat
  • Health Nut Hat
  • Baker's Hat
  • Camper's Hat
  • Monkey's Hat
  • Cooky Hat
It was a great and a healthy day indeed!
Rabsin eating Pinoy Hat
By the way, don't forget to check out their website: http://thewhitehat.com.ph/ because it's a really interesting site. It's cool and hip! You can check their new promos and join their contest there!

Thanks Evanjohnn for the lovely photos!

Below is the official press release for COFFEECAT in Cebu:

THERE’S A NEW CAT ON THE BLOCK

Coffeecat opens in Cebu

After first opening its doors in May 2009 in Torres Street, Davao City, Coffeecat marks yet another milestone with its second branch, this time Coffeecat is in Cebu, at the Asiatown IT Park’s newest high-rise development, the eBloc Tower. The Asiatown IT Park branch is Coffeecat’s first foray into the exciting Cebu market. With its passion for coffee and excellence, Coffeecat promises to further enrich the highly developed coffee culture scene in this city already spoiled with choices. Coffeecat in Cebu serves the pure goodness of 100% premium Arabica coffee, making it not just another brew in the City.

Coffeecat Logo
The name ‘Coffeecat’ is the product of an intriguing play of words coupled with a serendipitous association to a cat-sized mammal called a civet cat, which has a close affinity towards coffee berries.

Coffeecat Coffee
The concept for Coffeecat was born out of a dream of creating a new type of meeting place –one that mixes modern, industrial, and minimalist elements yet retains a warm and cozy ambiance for good conversations, great beverages and delectable dishes. This is a meeting place that recognizes the Filipinos’ cultural tradition of taking a break from daily workday life and relaxing in the company of others. These, combined with the Italian coffee culture and influence of the North American pastry tradition all came together in the vision of Coffeecat.

At Coffeecat, each beverage is meticulously prepared and carries with it a memory of the taste and sensation inspired by the founders’ travels to other countries. The essence of various origins is captured in each drink to give one that 'holiday' sensation of being giddy and lighthearted, perfect for bonding moments with family and friends, making Coffeecat a cozy place for relaxing and celebrating all of those life moments. From precious family time, hearty laughter with friends, some needed alone time with a good book and cup of brew, private discussions with colleagues and sweet moments with a special someone, Coffeecat is a celebration of coffee and life.

Coffeecat Americano, Mocha, Latte
Coffeecat in Cebu is 90 square meters of stylish and chic space which can accommodate a total of 60 guests with its indoor and outdoor seating combined. The cafĂ© specializes in expertly handcrafted beverages made from premium coffee blend illy®, a careful balance of 9 types of pure Arabica beans from South and Central America, India and Africa which createsthe unmistakable illy flavor always identical in any espresso cup, wherever it is drunk around the world; non-coffee drinks like Avalanche™ Ice Blends and its signature product – Yogo™ Premium Frozen Yogurt in Original or Green Tea Flavors.

Official Launching of Xperia in Cebu from Sony Ericson

EXPERIENCE XPERIA!

I have just experienced Xperia X10 from Sony Ericson! It was extremely flattering that I am one of the first few people who tried and tested the features of Xperia! Sony Ericson officially launched Xperia in Cebu.

Just yesterday, I was invited to the Official Launching of Sony Ericson's new products, so-called the World's smallest Android smartphones here in Cebu:

Xperia X10 Mini

Xperia X10 Mini Pro

X10 Mini Pro Front X10 Mini Pro Back
These latest products from Sony Ericson has 3.2 x 1.9 x .63 inches and 3.5 x 2.05 x .67 inches in dimension respectively. However, X10 mini pro has a sliding QWERTY keyboard functionality. Both of them are similar of the size of a credit card but has mind-blowing features. As Google Android smartphones, both can be customized with directly downloadable applications from Android Market.

Both phones have a 2.55-inch scratch resistant TFT touchscreen supporting over 16 million colors. Their 5-megapixel camera for stills and video comes with auto focus, geo tagging, photo and video light and the Sony Ericsson album application, a feature that organizes image files. Their user experience platform was specifically designed for a smaller form factor with a one-hand touch experience. Users can quickly access their most used and favourite applications through a unique and customizable four-corner user interface.

Sony Ericsson says the phones are true compact versions of the highly popular Xperia X10.

Xperia X10

The Xperia™ X10, which made a solid global debut earlier this year, was Sony Ericsson’s first smartphone in the Android platform. It has since become one of the company’s best sellers, and has been recorded as Japan’s top selling smartphone. The X10 mini is available in black, pearl white, lime and silver while the X10 mini pro is in black and red.

It has also been announced that a new Xperia™ mobile phone will be arriving on the 3rd quarter 2010, the Xperia X8.

The X8 will build on the success of the X10 and the mini products and extend the most entertaining smartphones collection to an even broader audience.

Coffees and cookies will be served for your convenience! I will go back there soon to try the new Sony Ericson Vivaz pro which allows users to capture, view and share their best experiences in HD video. IMAX Theater in Cebu Opens on July 9

Everyone is uber duper buzzing around and asking when will IMAX THEATER open in Cebu. Well wait no more because it will be on the 9th of July 2010. Yes, this Friday...Cebu will be enchanted by the IMAX's digital projection system that will surely WOW your experience in any other Cinemas.

IMAX Theater Cebu
Last July 7, I was invited to experience the totality of IMAX THEATER and I am so grateful for these heart-melting blessing and to the people behind it. Thank you!

While watching the movie, Avatar, which is one of the best 3D movies I've seen, I have concluded that the 3 elements was indeed a fact:
  1. The Crystal Clear Image - It was so clear even the smallest of details like ashes are flashed into your eyes!
  2. Laser-Aligned Digital Sound - No doubt about this! The sound was indeed crispy! It amazes you how a tree sounds when a big truck runs over it.
  3. Customized Theater Geometry - Maybe this is the reason why I felt that I was in the movie. My eyes was totally focused in the movie not missing any further details about it!
It was just outstanding!

For the benefit of others, the image below shows the TENTATIVE MOVIES that IMAX THEATER will be showing starting on July 2010 - January 2011. This is for Cebu, Iloilo, Davao and Bacolod. Click on the image to view:

It was definitely a one great movietastic night! I hope there will be more. Lol! Hahaha! See photos below for camwhoring session! Again, thank you for the invite and have a great IMAX experience! Try it now before you regret and miss half of your life! Cheers!

A Week Without an Internet

It feels good to go out of your usual acts.

I went to my hometown last week to process some papers and realized that there is no internet connection at home. Parents decided to cut off the connection since there is no one left in our home in Dumaguete. So to my online friends, sorry for being inactive...and to my karma...sigh!

Anyhow, I was not as unproductive as you thought... I actually did alot...and I mean ALOT!

I had the chance to do the things I used to do before like driving from one town to another, going to an isolated beach, composing songs, and even getting soaked in the rain. I loved every bit of it!

The best part was enjoying my friends' company! Damn I miss them so much!

I hope to see you again guys!

Cheers!
