Last October 3,
AboitizLand invited the
Cebu Bloggers Society for a tour on their land projects and give some feedback, not just for their benefit, but also for the benefit of the people.
Before I go on with my post, here is a description, from
Made for Life, of what Aboitiz really is:
AboitizLand is first and foremost proudly Cebu homegrown, being a subsidiary of the Aboitiz Group of Companies. We have only been in the business for 15 years but our projects are diverse.
We have around 120 employees, covering all parts of the business from conceptualization to construction to customer service. The look and feel of our new brand is very refreshing for a real estate company. That's because we want to deliver more than the usual and go beyond the hard structures.
We want our projects, few as they may be for now, to evolve into communities that nurture. This is where we need all the help we can get not just from our people, but from anyone who cares for livable environments.
The brand was launched only in November 2008. It is also a reflection of the youth, creativity, and drive that characterizes our organization. We know it is not typical of the red, black, and white of the esteemed Aboitiz brand. But we can assure the same passion for better ways, the same world-class service that has made this Cebu conglomerate one of the best companies in Asia.
Our brand promise is to develop high-quality villages that nurture long-term communities.
From this alone, you can sum up what we do and why we do it. The endeavor will not be easy, but we believe it is worth the challenge to be made for life. (Source here.)
Here are the Projects of Aboitiz that we visited:
Molave Highlands - it is common to spot many kinds of endemic birds in Molave Highlands, particularly the beautiful
tikling, which is the inspiration for our
tinikling folk dance. Residents definitely enjoy the same peaceful scenery and fresh breeze that these birds stick around for.
Mahogany Grove - is the only Aboitiz Land village which celebrates a fiesta (for now), having adopted its own patron saint, St. Francis of Assisi. A Community of young and close-knit families, Mahogany Grove makes this annual event an opportunity to bond with the neighbors.
North Town - is a famous community for its Halloween festivities. Homeowners of North Town try to hang the goriest decorations outside their residence and cap off the fun with a
Trick or Treat event that gets bigger and better every year.
iMez - the newest building in the Puelo Verde commercial village. iMez will soon be home to a BPO community and several retail establishments. A chill-out stop on the way home from beaching at Cordova is the casual resto,
Savora.
Pueblo Verde - the recent public terminal has greatly improved traffic flow along the Basak highway. It is also safer, more convenient way to get around for the workers at Mactan Economic Zone II.
Aboitiz Sports Field - Football isn't the only thing you can play at the Aboitiz Sports Field. Baseball enthusiats will be happy to know that there are batting cages available too.
Kishanta - we recommend stargazing at the Kishanta viewing deck. Get to wish on a falling star at this Zen inspired neighborhood.
The Persimmon - transforming Mabolo with The Persimmon urban village is an exciting challenge. Aboitiz takes it even further by working on a livelihood program for the surrounding local community - a long term project that generates employment and offers needed services to the condominium residents.
AboitizLand has been a great model to everyone! Even with all these projects, they never neglected our environment. They make sure that in the long run, everyone will benefit on their projects.
