Durian Halo-Halo in Cebu - Frozen Snack Bar

Frozen Snack Bar proudly promotes their best-seller Durian Halo-Halo!
Frozen Snack Bar proudly promotes their best-seller Durian Halo-Halo!
A big HELLO to my dear readers who are originally from Davao and are now working/living in Cebu, your smiles must be up to your ears right now. Hahaha!

I have traveled back and forth to Davao and with my (more or less) 4 months of exploring Davao, I saw how the Davaoeños eager for more Durian inspired delicacies. They understand that liking Durian is an acquired taste. So, they incorporate Durian with different products to be more salable  and customer-taste-friendly such as candies, ice cream, coffee (which I absolutely love!), cakes, halo-halo and so much more!

(Check out my Davao travels here.)

I prefer my Durian straight from the fruit and frozen. Unlike processed products, it still gives you the original flavor of what Durian tastes like. Chilling/freezing only lessens the aroma of the fruit. With that, I would like to share what Frozen Snack Bar has to offer.

Fell In Love with Davao

I LOVE DAVAO Shirt
Head over heel for Davao!
They say part 2 and part 3 will never be as good as part 1. This 3rd trip to Davao was way beyond everything. This simple look is my tribute on how I left my heart in Davao. The dominating red could not summarize my love for Davao.

Hype my look on LookBook! :D

Blue Doesn't Feel Blue After All

I am soooooo sorry! Yes, I know that I have been offline for quite sometime now, but I have a valid reason for everything. There were so many changes that happened in few weeks time and let me just try to summarize everything here in one blow. I will try to minimize this post as much as possible for I need to prepare myself for a weekend trip :)
Shirt and Socks from Forever 21; Jeans from Bossini; Shoes from Ren Ben; Bracelet and Watch from SM Accessories
Hype my look on LookBook (here).

The main reason why I was offline for a long time because I transferred to a new apartment. Yes, a new and better apartment I must say. I needed time to transfer all my things and made adjustments to my service provider. The worst part is...it's so easy to pack things up, but it's so hard to arrange them back again. Sigh! Until now, I am still not done arranging my stuff :(

In addition, I will be flying to Davao this weekend for the Kadayawan Festival! Yes, I can't wait to experience the said festival. It's not just vacation BTW, I have a job to accomplish. I am hoping to meet the Fashion Bloggers in Davao! For that, I need to pack now.

Good vibes!

The Philippine Eagle Center - Davao Day 1

We went straight  to The Philippine Eagle Center which is also a breeding facility for the Philipine Eagle. However, before we actually went inside the Center, you will pass by a couple of people who have snakes as pets and we had a photo with it :D

Albino Python
Walked a mile or less to arrive in the Center.

...and finally!

Below are some species of eagle.

I had fun knowing alot of things about the eagles and how difficult their breeding process is. Since the eagles are monogamous, they can identify their mate and it's like marriage where they bind each other together. Unfortunately, if one dies its impossible to breed... They also tried experimenting putting one male and one female, whom both of their mates passed away, in a cage; however, so far there is still no progress on the said experiment. I came to realize alot of things actually...on how to value life in general and how strong these eagles are.

You can also find brown deer, wild boar, monkeys and a crocodile inside the Philippine Eagle Center.

Lastly, you can also find a bat outside the center, near the entrance area.

Right after the wonderful tour in the Philippine Eagle Center, we went to Malagos Garden Resort.

The Arrival - Davao Day 1

We arrived safe and sound in Davao via Cebu Pacific. While waiting for our tour guide to arrive, had a couple of cam-whoring session.

Just in time, Mr. Nelson Bibera came to the airport and picked us up with a very spacious mini-van! We took this package from Sir Nelson:

Package 2 = P 2,500 (good for 1-6 pax)

Green Windows Dormitel at FTC Tower in Davao

It was last July 15 when I left Cebu for Davao. I needed to take a day off in a very busy city, so I decided to go to Davao for I heard of so many great things in this city of Durian.

Raissa (the 'X') is from Davao so I called her up and asked where can I actually stay there and she told me of Green Windows Dormitel. I googled them and find the dormitel very interesting.

Green Windows Dormitel

Green Windows Dormitel at FTC Tower in Davao
Green Windows Dormitel is located at FTC Tower, a walking distance to Davao Doctors Hospital and is very near the downtown area. There is also a walking distance convenient store where I always buy my fresh milk in the morning.
FTC Tower Entrance
FTC Tower is more with clinics and review center. I think this is a medical facility building because most of the businesses in the building is medically inclined. They also have a drug store, a laundry shop and an ATM at the ground floor.

The taxi will cost you around Php 140.00 - Php 160.00 from the airport going to the Green Windows Dormitel and vice versa. Most of the places is just a ride trip from the dormitel like Abreeza, which is the new Ayala Mall in Davao, G Mall, Victoria Plaza, Matina Town Square, Sta. Ana Wharf and a lot more. They also have a cafeteria with a living room with a lovely sofa and a TV. Everything in the dormitel is new since they just opened recently. I hope they have good maintenance for a long term business like this because I AM DEFINTELY COMING BACK to Green Windows Dormitel the next time I go back to Davao.
