Enjoy Card Launch in Cebu: A Lifestyle Discount Card

Enjoy Discount CardIt was last night, August 25, 2010, where a lifestyle discount card program was officially launched at Maya Mexican Restaurant at Crossroads, Banilad, ENJOY CARD. I was actually just a replacement of one person who could not attend the event for an important matter. Well good thing this is a lifestyle blog.

Enjoy Card Launch in Cebu.

Whether you are into club hopping, shopping, dining, or even traveling, ENJOY CARD is fashionably perfect for you!

I have heard a similar program with ENJOY CARD, but the most significant thing they have conquered was identifying their target market and they were pretty aware that most people in Cebu (maybe all over the World) are very greedy, if not very particular with money and expenses. For that, they have lowered the price to Php 895.00 only. Imagine that? Compared to other lifestyle card programs, this is really, really AFFORDABLE!
Enjoying the Enjoy Card LaunchingDuring the launching of ENJOY CARD, we were oriented of the features that we can get of the card and it was just outstanding! The guest has their own personalized ENJOY CARD and I'm pretty sure it just made everyone 's day happy. Too bad for me because I was just a replacement. I'll be getting my own ENJOY CARD hopefully next week...but that's okay, I definitely can wait.

Take a look at the Official Press Release of ENJOY CARD Launching in Cebu below:

Tantalizing Treats Exclusive to Enjoy Card

Complimentary champagne cocktails, discounted if not FREE delectable dishes, seizing the hottest shopping finds, and exclusive access to Cebu’s trendiest events – all these and more are what Enjoy members can expect to experience.
Enjoy, the country’s premier lifestyle card, offers over P 250,000 worth of treats, discounts and freebies in Metro Manila, Cebu, and Boracay. To date, it is the country’s fastest-growing loyalty and privilege marketing program counting more than 40,000 members nationwide.
The Enjoy CardsBecause Enjoy offers partners presence on print, the internet, social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter, and mobile devices; we're able to get exclusive perks for Cebuanos that they can't find in any other promotional tie ups." says Shanna Lopez, senior partner at Enjoy.

Light on the pocket but heavy on the bargains, Enjoy comes in two variants – the Philippine edition that includes both the Manila and Cebu - Boracay voucher books for Php 1,995; and a Cebu - Boracay edition that does away with Manila voucher book for only Php 895. Either ways, members save at more than 700 of Enjoy partner venues all over the country.

Mobile benefits

Helping cardholders maximize their membership experience is the free and easy-to-download mobile application EnjoyPH. A perfect complement to the Enjoy card, EnjoyPH serves as the mobile guide that provides detailed information about Enjoy’s partner merchants. The application is compatible with the iPhone, Blackberry, Nokia, Sony Ericsson, and Samsung smartphones.

Users can browse and search detailed information about the establishments through EnjoyPH’s interactive directory. To keep members updated on seasonal promos, the app streams the latest news and updates direct to the phone. Lastly, EnjoyPH features Google map integration and the GPS-based Near Me feature to locate the nearest partner merchants around them. All these add to the benefits of cardholders, and give non-members a sampling of all the Enjoy perks they can have once they sign up.

“EnjoyPH really goes hand-in-hand with the Enjoy program. The application was created because of the insight that urbanites always bring with them their wallets and mobile phones wherever they go. With the Enjoy Card in their wallets and EnjoyPH application in their phones, finding the hottest and finest deals is just a flash of a card and one browse away,” Lopez adds.

Interested in gaining access to the best finds in the metro and beyond? Avail of the Enjoy card or try EnjoyPH and experience only the most exclusive privileges. To learn more, visit www.enjoythebest.ph or contact Tina Gonzalez at (032) 4185392.

3D Cinema Launch in Ayala Cebu presents STEP UP 3

It was a normal Thursday…getting ready for the day…and doing the things I usually do…until an unexpected invitation came right to me.

I woke up around 9:00am, but my head was still too heavy and has decided to take another power nap…I got out of bed around 12:30pm. I took my shower. I got my clothes. I left the apartment with my laptop hanging on my shoulder.

I went to Coffee Cat and bought my original flavored Yogurt with grapes and mango toppings! I never had anything in mind, but to update my blogs and other social networks, until Doi called and asked me if I was available to watch STEP UP 3 at Ayala to officially open the 3D Cinema in Ayala Cebu. I hastily accepted the offer (and left Coffee Cat) because of so many reasons:
  • I really love watching Dance Movies. I would starve just to watch Dance Movies…and I mean literally! Yes, I went there with my empty stomach. I’m uber inclined to dancing especially crumping and hip-hop.
  • It was for free! It’s always good to have great friends that give you something for free! :D
  • I want something new for a change! I was so thankful that I actually did something different that day!
We also had our own dance-photo shoot! Hahaha!

Photos to be uploaded soon!

Missing Dumaguete

It has been months now since my last step to Dumaguete. I miss everything about this small city. The people, the water, the air, the lovely places, Escaño and so much more!

Good thing it's my friend's wedding this weekend and hopefully my body won't get stubborn and lousy to take a 4-5 hours ride back there!

But I really want to go back. See you guys!

A First Timer – Win a Free Boracay Escapade

I was fashionably stunned and excited when I saw this contest from Seair: An ALL EXPENSE PAID 3 days trip to Boracay with free lodging at Microtel!!! What could be more stunning than that? I really thought there was no way for me to achieve my dream of going to Boracay. I guess I was wrong…totally wrong! And now that it’s here, I’m never letting this opportunity go!

I love to travel and I make sure that I touch people’s lives when I travel. I started this when I was in College where I was quite active with programs that will help the needy and the less fortunate: feeding program, free health clinic and free tutorial are some of the said programs. This simple act gave me lots of friends and made me love travelling.

The very first project I did was my Bantayan Island Escapade 2010 where, aside from enjoying how fantastic the island was, I also got to know a local potpot driver and asked their way of living in the island. I realized a lot of things during our conversation and gave him some extra cash for touring me in the lovely Island of Bantayan.

Now, going to a long dreamed island is just an entry away, I am hoping and wishing to all the angels in the sky to hear my desire and bless this entry to win for the said contest.

Making my first footprint in Boracay Island has been a very long dream of mine (Well, I guess it’s every persons’ dream if I’m not mistaken). I’ve heard so much of the island and I am really intrigued about it, especially of the gossip that the island is a half-established-half-destroyed island. According to rumors, half of the island is what they call “Paradise”; however, the other half of the island is where the wastes are thrown and where some local citizens are living. For this, I would really love to go to Boracay and see how they are living. It would be an honor for me to help them and share even the simplest thing that I can share to them, LOVE and COMPASSION…and if there is more that I can help, I would if I can.

Basically that’s it. I wish all the contestants the best of luck and God Speed!

To join the contest, be a fan first on SEAIR’s Facebook Page and click here. By the way, please like my link HERE. Thank you!

Luster for life - Jewelmer's Pearl Exhibit in Cebu

It was a really great experience to actually learn how pearls are created. I would like to thank Jewelmer for inviting me to your lovely pearl exhibit!

Below is the Official press release of Luster for Life - Jewelmer's Pearl Exhibit in Cebu.

Experiencing the Luster in Cebu

JEWELMER’S Luster for Life: A pearl exhibit opened in Ayala Center Cebu last July 23. Located at the Rotunda, 1st Level Activity Center of the popular shopping destination, this modular exhibition is a visual tour of the golden South Sea pearl’s journey from farm to fine jewelry and is part of the company calls the “Jewelmer Experience”.
Giant Baroque Pearl NL Strand
“The Jewelmer Experience engages the senses. It’s everything from the color of our showrooms, the interaction of clients with our people, our imagery, and philosophy. All of these are but a small part of the whole Experience. Its quite difficult to explain,” says Jewelmer’s Retail Manager Catrina Paulino, “it really should be experienced to be fully appreciated.” Paulino goes on, “The Luster for Life exhibit, in particular, shares our brand values in a visual and engaging way.”

First launched in the Marquee mall at Pampanga, the exhibition has since made its way to Glorietta 4 in Makati City before landing in Cebu and will continue making its rounds in premier shopping destinations in the Philippines within the year. “ The Jewelmer showroom in Cebu opened back in 1994. However, this is the first time we brought an exhibit here,” says Paulino.

The Luster for Life exhibit is composed of six main panels: Palawan South Sea pearls, Luster for Life, The Miracle of the Rare Golden Pearl, European Elegance, An Environmental Gem, and A Nation’s Pride Each segment features a combination of vivid imagery and descriptive text. Also included in the exhibit are the actual tools used for pearl cultivation, a pearl diorama, and some unique pieces that are part of Jewelmer’s fine jewelry collections.

Palawan, the Last Frontier
Jewelmer’s pearl farm is located in the pristine marine environment of the province of Palawan, in what is considered by most to be the Philippine’s last frontier.
This group of 1,700 islands is home to flora and fauna found nowhere else in the world as well as one of the few places that the gold-lipped Pinctada maxima oyster, the only bivalve capable of producing the golden South Sea pearl, can grow.

Luster for Life
When women wear pearls, it is she who glows. Pearls have the unique ability to enhance the beauty of its wearer, rather than call attention to itself. This is because of its luster, or the warm glow of the gem.
SM City Cebu Jewelmer's Booth
The luster is described as the pearl’s outer sheen and surface brilliance and is created when light passes through thousands of layer of nacre, the substance that makes up a pearl. Jewelmer’s South Sea pearls possess thick, translucent layers of natural nacre that gives their pearls a unique luster that the company has come to be known for.

The Miracle of the Rare Golden Pearl
Rare Golden Pearl
Jewelmer is the only pearl producer in the world that has successfully produced pearls with a rich, natural golden color. Through decades of research and biotechnology, Jewelmer was able to perfect the breeding process that produces gold-lipped Pinctada maxima pearl oysters capable of growing large, lustrous, golden pearls. This deep, rich color can only be found in South Sea pearls produced in the Philippines.

European Elegance
The design process is the ultimate exercise in creativity. It can proceed both ways, with designers beginning with a piece in mind to adorn with selected pearls, or starting from the pearl itself and creating a design around it.
Inspired by nature, each piece is a product of east and west working together on such a delightful material, pearl lovers are bound to be always surprised.
Luster for life Model
A team of Italian, French, and Filipino artists draws inspiration from a multitude of sources and creates exquisite designs that enhance the beauty of each pearl. These designs are then executed by highly-skilled Swiss and Filipino goldsmiths and artisans.

Exclusive to the Cebu leg of the exhibit are three South Sea pearl collector pieces: a baroque pearl strand necklace and an eagle brooch. The strand necklace is composed of 49 large, natural silvery-blue baroque South Sea pearls set with 18-karat white gold, while an irregularly shaped, large baroque South Sea pearl inspires the body of an bejeweled eagle made of gold and diamonds. Both of these one-of-a-kind pieces were part of a recently concluded international pearl exhibition held in Qatar, UAE.

An Environmental Gem
A lustrous South Sea pearl is the reflection of the health and beauty of the environment where it was cultivated. In the face of globally dwindling natural resources, Philippine pearl farmers give back to Mother Nature and become stewards of marine life. Thus, Jewelmer is committed to a unique kind of pearl farming: a non-extractive, environmentally sound process, which ensures that nature remains protected and unexploited.

A Nation’s Pride
The pearl is the Philippine’s national gem, the best representative of a land rich in natural resources as well as people with smiles as warm and welcoming as a golden pearl.

Finally, on October 15, 1996, former President Fidel V. Ramos concretized the pearl’s role in Philippine culture through Presidential Proclamation No. 905.

The proclamation acknowledges the South Sea Pearl's role in the country's socio-economic & cultural tradition as well as the gem's part in the promotion of Filipino heritage and as a support of its national development efforts.

Jewelmer continues to share the spirit of the Philippines through the warm, lustrous glow of the South Sea pearl: a true living gem and the pride of a nation.

Watch out for the The Luster for Life: A pearl exhibit in TriNoma, Quezon City later this month, at Alabang Town Center, and at Greenbelt 5 at the heart of Makati later this year.

TV5 invades Cebu to search for potential teen stars

(from the Official Press Release)

TV5 is all set to boost its capacity to discover and hone new talents with the launch of Talent5, the network’s talent management and development division. Taking on the challenge of discovering new faces with the greatest star potential, Talent5 will be headed by no less than renowned theater actor-director and Talentadong Pinoy resident judge Audie Gemora.

With Talent5 leading TV5’s quest to discover outstanding talents among thousands of Filipino showbiz aspirants, the Kapatid Network is set to create another milestone in Philippine show business.

“Talent5 will be a home for future stars and a home where every single one of them will be accommodated,” Gemora stressed. “I believe that you can only have as many kids as you can love. In Talent5, I would prefer not to have so many artists but we must focus on the few that we have. I want to study very well how to manage their careers, not just as stars of the station itself but as total stars in the making.”

Gemora has made his mark in theater and music circles before becoming a popular judge in TV5’s flagship talent program, Talentadong Pinoy. Over his three decades of theater experience, he was revered as the "King of Philippine Musical Theater" for his performances in West Side Story, Amadeus, Les Miserables for Repertory Philippines, and many others. He is also the president of the popular theater group TRUMPETS where he established the country’s leading multimedia summer workshop Playshop, the music school Musicademy, and fast growing My Talent summer workshop.

TV5 head of Entertainment and Creative Services Perci Intalan describes Gemora as an outstanding artist and excellent trainer. “We decided that Audie is our man for the job because apart from being a respected actor and director, he has experience as a teacher and mentor to young performers and is known for his integrity. With Audie in charge of discovering and developing new talents for the network, we are assured that our upcoming stars will be in good hands,” Intalan shared.

With over 20 years of training experience under his belt, Gemora aims to establish the best training any network-based talent group can provide. “It is my vision to really work hard on providing excellent training not just to performers but to every creative and technical person involved in television. I would like to establish some kind of ‘showbiz school’ where you learn everything that has to do with the industry hands-on,” said Gemora.
