Christmas 2011

So much have changed and so many thinks left unsaid. However, it has been tough, yet still the greatest roller coaster ride of my life.

Despite some insecurities and sensitive stuff, I am still really blessed with so many things. (I do apologize if some people/group might not be forgotten)

A collaboration of 2 of my most favorite actresses: Judy Ann Santos and Eugene Domngo -- this is going to be one of the best entry to be submitted in the MMF 2011. A story of a family where the mother is the breadwinner, while the father stays at home to take care of the children and the household chores plus a twist of a 3rd party?

I've also heard that Ryan Agoncillo didn't just pull it off, he outstandingly did a great job portraying his character and can possibly nominate him and hopefully grab the Best Actor Award.

Almost Christmas Again

Well well well... Time flies so fast. Had my time locked in the box I didn't even realize it's already the month of Christmas...and next year will be my birth month. Wow! Imagine that?

A lot of things has happened into my life that I couldn't place them all together with my bare hands. I decided to take a step back with blogging for a while to let go of the things inside my head that I couldn't really express here or in the offline world. I was trapped in a pit hole that I prevented me from thinking straight and was succumbed with fear...until now. I now God has plans for me and to all of us and at the end of the day, it's Thy will be done.

I have faith and He knows that from the start. This is going to be a challenge till death. So I pray:

My heart, my soul...my fear, my anger...my love, my patience...take it all and lead me back to You. Amen

Globe Celebrates Christmas in November

Globe, once again made an impact to our hearts! Focusing more on improving customer service, there effort and determination was indeed seen...and in celebrating the most awaited Holiday of the year, they celebrated their advance Christmas Party first in Cebu! 

It was one of THE BEST celebration ever! And did I forget to tell you that I almost grab all the prizes there! Hahaha!

SM Christmas 2010 - Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

Once again, SM Supermall did another breakthrough that will be part of the history of every customers! Last November 6, 2010, SM City Cebu, together with all other SM branches, they gathered more than 10,000 voices to join the simultaneous singing of the SM Cjristmas Jingle, "SM Christmas ChriSMs Bop". This is the official Christmas anthem of SM and it has been made even better with their partnership with Samsung.

It was indeed one awesome night which be a great memory while we end the year 2010...and I want to let you guys hear and see the performance so please take time to watch the video below:

Keso De Gallo 2010 - La Libertad's Bod Bod Choco Cheese

Keso de Gallo is back and will again unite the Filipino Spirit through FOOD! :D

Last year's Keso de Gallo was conceptualized as Misa de Gallo for the nine mornings and I was fortunate to be part of the said activity in Cebu. Here is my entry for last year's Keso de Gallo: Keso de Gallo 2009 by Kraft Eden.

La Libertad is indeed close to my heart.... I just feel free when I'm there...

La Libertad is close to my heart...for it is my mom's and our clan's hometown. I am Ricky Louie Absin de la Cruz and I am proud of La Libertad!

Keso de Gallo by Kraft Eden

Last Dec 23, 2009 right after the Dawn Mass (Misa de Gallo), we, the Cebu Bloggers Society was invited to join and celebrate the Keso de Gallo by Kraft Eden Cheese.

Keso de Gallo is a nationwide event that goes with the 9 days Simbang Gabi. It showcases Noche Buena dishes and with Eden, it will definitely change the people's perception of a Noche Buena dish.

This will be held in different towns including Bacolod City, Butuan City, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu City, Davao, Iloilo, Laoag, Naga, and Pamapanga...and I am glad to be part of the said event here in Cebu.

The theme of Keso de Gallo is "Nutritious, Delicious, Affordable" and the winner for Cebu was the extraordinary Maja of a Cebuana teacher, the Mixed Vegetable Maja Con Keso. Who would imagine a delicious maja like this is composed of ordinary and affordable recipes like squash, mongo, carrots, ubi, and eden cheese.


Below are videos where Kraft Eden is being introduced and how Keso de Gallo started and what are the objectives of the said event. The winner in Cebu was also highlighted on this video and how she made ordinary recipes to its fullest, and most delicious Maja.

I had the chance to interview the winner and she said she was really lucky! She never expected to win Keso de Gallo. In fact, she almost lost hope in joining the contest because she was informed late and had a limited time to prepare the ingredients that she needs. Fortunately, she was able to identify her ingredients on time. She only had one week to perfect her master piece, The Mixed Vegetable Maja Con Keso. She makes one in the morning and let her students and her co-teachers taste it then let them have comments about it, and another one in the afternoon while taking notes of the comments. It has been a one week critisism about the master peice...and on the final day, it has finally been perfected! The MASTER PEICE was ready for Keso de Gallo!

You don't actually need to pay so much just to have a yummy nutritious foods for Noche Buena, just get what you have in your backyard and be imaginative and create your own Noche Buena dish!

1 Day Before Christmas

Calimocho Everyone..?

Christmas is definitely a GREAT day! Hope it will always stay this way... BTW, I want to introduce a drink to everyone (and I actually made one and let my family drink the thing), it's called the 'CALIMOCHO'! It was introduced to me by my friend from Paris, Kris! This drink is a 50% Red Wine and 50% Cola (Coke)! So it won't make you that WASTED! LOL

Anyhow, I miss my friends A LOT, and that includes Raissa, 'a friend', MDP...Hmmmp...

But a lot of things has changed now...(cont.)

5 Hours Before Christmas!

Checking time it's 5 hours before Christmas! Yeay! Am I excited or what..? Wahehehe! Hey I have new slippers...Weeeh! My sister bought me one...cOoL! (Sayang walang camera...)

BTW, I went to Wawa's residence last night and we enjoyed the night out...we even enjoyed the morning after...Wahehehe! We sang and we drank...It was a great event! In addition to that, we met new friends: Keneth (Wawa's neighbor), Sheena and Reezy (Keneth's friends), and Dan (an Hunky Australian guy)...

Finally!My brother was playing his 'Runes of Magic' a while ago...and it's an interesting game... I already made an account but I haven't played the game yet...

Anyway, I'm still having my hang over due to last night's drinking session with some of my friends...Woooh! I missed them so MUCH! Especially now that most of them are leaving to bond with their family...MERRY CHRISTMAS guys!

And for today, this is the day I've been waiting for, the Softball Christmas Party (a.k.a. Farewell)... We will be finally talking about some issues that happened. I hope we stay as friends...(check 2 previous blog to know who). And for those people who's very interested about the SHOCKERS thingy...hmmm...I'll tell you as soon as we finish our talk...and again... MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!

Christmas Vacation

Finally!!! My last examination ended this 2pm and at last...CHRISTMAS VACATION crashed into me!!! However, most of the students starts their Christmas Vacation this coming Monday, but since my last examination ended, our teachers has decided to meet again on the month of January...Weeeeeeeeeeh!

BTW, (now) I am very busy with my Dance Sport Lessons for Competitive Category...We will be (hopefully) competing Internationally...I'm so excited!

In addition, I'll be saying goodbye to MDP this Friday. We will be having our Christmas (Farewell) Party for the Softball players...and I'll be talking to MDP about what happened months ago (a.k.a. SHOCKERS!)
