Last week was one of the busiest weeks ever! This is because everyone is trying so hard to accomplish their tasks before the Holiday.

Thank God weekend came and replenished my worn out body!!!

Be Resorts Mactan was an eye catcher. Interior and exterior design was outstanding! The resort was definitely the right place for me to distress.

It is 30-40 min away from the city (SM) via van, located at Punta Engaño Rd., Mactan Island, Lapu Lapu City, Cebu, Philippines.

For local people specifically in Cebu and Lapu Lapu, the said resort might sound new, but actually, they used to be called Microtel Inn & Suites Mactan…now that could undoubtedly ring a bell. From a franchise business, Be Resorts is now an owned business!

I enjoyed my stay there, it was fun and rejuvenating! Employees were friendly...and were open to suggestion (when I suggested something about the stair's color). Janine, the one who toured and welcomed us, said thank you and will forward my suggestion to the higher authority.

Holy Week at Bantayan Island - PUMP N SUMMER 2010

I've been invited a couple of times already to go to Bantayan Island and experience the so called Boracay style this summer and experience their lifestyle. I could still remember a Frisbee player from Boracay Dragons invited me to go with them and play at Bantayan Island. I was about to go; however there was a conflict of schedule.

Few weeks ago, a friend of mine invited me to go to Bantayan. I hastily accepted the offer since it will be my first time to go there. I've heard that there will be so many people during the Holy Week and expenses will be at its highest peak...but it doesn't matter. Money will not hinder me from going there!

There will also be many events in the Island...and one of them is the Pump N Summer 2010. See poster below:


I will be there for 5 days and this will be my first Holy Week at Bantayan...I'll be in a different place with different crowd so I'll try to set some goals. I'll probably get to know a native person and make a documentary short film...set an interview on what they do as a living and what are there experiences in Bantayan Island.

I can't wait to step on Bantayan!!! See you guys there!

What to do on Earth Hour Day in Cebu

During the Earth Hour, people usually just stay at home and join other people not using electricity and other gadgets. However, it just doesn't end there!

This upcoming Earth Hour Day, April 27, 2010, there are piled up events for you to choose:

SM City Cebu will be having live bands and fire dancers outside the Northwing in celebration to Earth Day at 7:30 - 9:30pm

The Terraces, Ayala Center Cebu will also be presenting LIVE the ever popular band, Side A, at 7:30pm. There will also be a Disco fever at 9:00pm

Aboitiz will also celebrate Earth Day at The Persimmon (6:00pm onwards). There will be a countdown and experience a festive City shut-off with Miss Cebu 2010 and Miss Earth. There will be fire dancers and tribal and acoustic bands...and be part of the candlelight formation that Aboitiz is organizing. This is the Passion for a Better World.

I'm Getting Globe WIMAX Connection

It has been a couple of weeks since I'm having problems with my Wifi Internet Connection and I can't live with it anymore. I can't work with my stuff if I have crappy connection!

...and I've heard about Globe Wimax and it was just the perfect thing for me! Basically, Wimax is the newest wireless broadband technology offered by Globe and it is 33% faster and 25% more affordable than other broadband providers. It also covers wide distance (many kilometers away).

Basically, Globe Wimax is like a combination of a WIFI since it is wireless and MyDSL since it has more or less similar connection speed.

I also had the chance to interview the Head, Community Relations Corporate Social Responsibility of Globe Telecom Inc., Jeffrey Ochoa Tarayao, and a fellow Sillimanian that is working in Globe Telecom Inc. for about 3 years now, Jesman Kenneth, and they told me that Globe Wimax has been around the business for more or less a year now in selected areas. It was just recent that they released the said new cutting edge product for everyone.

For now, I've heard lots of rumors that Globe Wimax is consistently giving high satisfaction rating among subscribers and is currently the most stable and reliable wireless broadband technology that is available today.

That's why I'm getting my Wimax at Globe! I'm going to give it a try...and let's see the result!

I'm Getting my Pentax Camera at Formo

Pentax will be promoting their new cameras that will definitely rings a bell with their amazing features. Shake reduction, auto focus systems, high shutter speeds, unique special effects, and HD video capture are just some of the features that they will be introducing.

They will also be giving 2 brand new Pentax Optio H90 cameras during the event. The contest is called Snap Sexy Contest that has a theme of “wear sexy, pose sexy, smile sexy”.

Google is in Cebu

Boy am I very excited for this event. Google is now in Cebu!!!

It will be a PRIDE for Cebu that the Technical Program Manager, Developer Relations of Google Inc., Christine M. Songco, and the Software Engineer of Google Japan, Dan de Lima, wil be coming over to Cebu to be lead speakers in an innovation forum entitled: Inspiring Innovation: the Google Way

The Innovation Forum is one of the regular tech forums that AyalaTBI holds in Makati and regional centers in the country with partners. It has been running since 2007.

This event will be on March 12, 2010, Friday (8AM - 4:30PM) at the Conference Hall, Library Building, UP Visayas Cebu College.

This will be a whole day event wand will start with talks that will feature open source developments, Google Maps and its applications. There will be an award for the best Google application and followed by a DevCon Hackathon.

...and did I say that this event is FREE? So there is no point that you should not go.

Cattski TEN Concert

I really don't know her yet...but when I heard that she is a singer and a song writer, it gave me a spark to watch her perform and hopefully interview her.

I have so many things to ask about her...probably because I also sing and compose songs.
